November 10th, 2009Who said we don’t need Agency Producers……
October 16th, 2009Look, agency producers are worth their weight in gold, it’s that simple. Take a look at what can happen without one.
Make a Wish Foundation
October 15th, 2009Since we our last post was about helping children its lovely to have another entry dedicated to children, this time the charity is the “Make a wish Foundation“.
This advert was sound mixed in Reelgood and again was a pleasure to work on, the voice you hear is indeed the legendary John Hurt who brought a lovely story telling style to the read. The commercial was produced by Derek Doyle in Arena Productions and the Copywriting and Art Direction came from Emma Fielding and Laurence O’Byrne from Ogilvy.
Here is how the make a wish foundation help so many children!
To grant wishes to children between the ages of 3 and 18 who are living with a life threatening illness.
The result is fantasy into reality. A wish can provide a positive, often once in a lifetime experience, for the child and its family. Focusing the child’s attention away from the difficult routine of medical treatment and consultations, and the daily struggle against a life-threatening condition. The promise of a wish can have a remarkable effect on a sick child and has enormous impact on everyone close to them.
A wish gives a child something to look forward to through their many months of treatment.
Changing a childs future
October 13th, 2009Barnardos have launched a huge TV, Radio, Cinema and online campaign today, and it was great that Reelgood were asked to do the sound for the adverts. The advertising agency is “The Hive” and the production company is “Blinder“. It was a pleasure to have worked on this campaign but as Director of Marketing and Fundraising Ruth Guy says
Just remember when you are looking at the appeal, seeing the ad, reading the stories - in the papers or online - or hearing them - these are real kids - we didn’t make it up. These are the stories of the children we work with every day. Sometimes it is really hard to believe it, but they are true - and stories like these can be told thousands of times over by all the people who do the real work on the ground here in Barnardos - the project workers, and the children and the families that come to us and work to change their lives.
So please - read them, listen to them and then Change a Childs Future - it is so simple - if you can support us we can keep changing futures. Let’s do it together!
Ruth Guy, Director of Marketing and Fundraising
